Manage multiple social accounts without mixing up posts
One content idea can serve several accounts, but each destination needs its own review. Make the account name and purpose part of the brief.
To manage multiple social accounts, make the destination explicit before writing or scheduling. Keep the shared product facts together, then adapt the message and media for each selected account. Two accounts on the same network can still need different copy, links and posting decisions.
In Blitz Planner, connected publishing accounts belong to a project. The account selection decides where a post can go; the network name alone does not identify a particular creator or brand.
Give each account a clear job
Suppose a founder has a personal LinkedIn account and a brand account on Instagram. Both could discuss the same product update, but they have different perspectives.
| Account | Useful message | Evidence and action |
|---|---|---|
| Founder on LinkedIn | Why a workflow was changed | Explain the decision and invite relevant feedback |
| Brand on Instagram | How the new workflow works | Show the actual product steps and the intended next action |
| Creator on TikTok | One practical use case | Use a reviewed video with the selected posting mode |
These are illustrative roles, not a reason to publish everywhere. Select the accounts where you can give the audience a useful, supported message.
Verify the exact destination
Check the project, network, account identity and connection status before creating the post. This matters when a personal and brand account share a platform, or when several client-like brands live in your workspace.
For an assistant, ask it to list accounts first and confirm the chosen IDs. Blitz’s public tools accept explicit accountIds. A platform fallback should not be used to guess between several active accounts.
An illustrative instruction:
Show the connected accounts in this project. Use only the two I select. Prepare reviewed drafts for them and show the account identity beside each version before any scheduling action.
Adapt the post for each account
Start from shared facts rather than copying every sentence unchanged. Check tone, the opening line, the next action and whether the chosen network supports the media. Review the actual crop, slide order, subtitles and any required account settings.
The public API supports per-account overrides for copy and supported platform settings. That is useful when the core update stays the same but the destination needs a different caption. It does not make an unsupported media format publishable.
Keep drafts and schedules distinct
Prepare a draft when an account choice or media review is still pending. Add scheduling only after the selected versions are ready. A campaign’s proposed dates do not themselves schedule its drafts.
For TikTok, finish the final preview and posting consent before sending. An inbox upload still needs completion in TikTok, even if another destination in the same plan publishes directly.
Inspect each destination’s result
A multi-account post can have different outcomes by destination. Review publishing history for the relevant accounts; do not assume one successful result proves all destinations published.
If one destination needs correction, check the saved state and error before retrying. Preserve successful destinations rather than recreating the whole campaign blindly. The useful record is the account, the version sent, its scheduled moment and its actual result.
