Carousel, faceless video or AI clip: which format?
Choose the format after the message and evidence. A carousel, faceless video and Seedance clip solve different production problems.
Choose a social content format by the job the post has to do. Use a carousel when the reader should inspect a sequence, a real recording when the interface is the proof, a faceless video when narration and supporting footage help, and a generated clip when an illustrative scene is useful.
There is no format that is always best for reach or sales. Start with the message, the evidence you have and the account’s available publishing formats.
Compare what you need to produce
| Format | Useful for | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Text or caption | One clear announcement or explanation | Finished copy and any supporting media |
| Photo carousel | Steps, checks or a comparison | Slide text and photos or screenshots |
| Screen recording | A real interface action | Accurate recording and readable labels |
| Faceless video | A narrated situation or process | Spoken script, stock clips and reviewed captions |
| Seedance AI clip | A short imagined scene or visual motion | Production brief, reference when needed and a generation decision |
“Faceless” describes the absence of an on-camera presenter. It does not mean every image is AI-generated. A video can use stock footage and a synthetic voice. A Seedance clip is generated visual media; it is not automatically a complete voiceover video.
Use a carousel when details need time
A viewer can stop on a slide, compare examples and reread a check. That makes a carousel useful for before-and-after images, a short method or several precise details.
If the core point only makes sense through movement, such as a button changing an interface, a recording may explain it better. Do not turn a long paragraph into tiny slide text just to use the format.
Use video when timing adds information
A faceless video can connect a voice to footage without requiring you to film yourself. Write the script first and choose shots that correspond to it. Real UI demonstrations still require real screenshots or recordings.
A generated clip can establish mood or visualize an illustrative situation. Check that it does not introduce a false product detail. If exact lettering or a real result matters, use authentic material for that part.
Choose the workflow in Blitz
The manual editor accepts your own content and media. Copilot helps prepare editable text, scripts and carousel proposals. Atelier holds the product brief and content week, and offers the media steps appropriate to a finished post.
Media generation is a separate choice with a credit estimate. Review the media before it becomes part of a publishing draft. The API and MCP publishing interfaces can use existing media; they do not replace the in-app Atelier creation workflow.
Check the final network before exporting
The same idea can have several versions, but a selected account must support the actual media. YouTube needs video. TikTok photo posting and video posting have their own choices. Check capabilities and preview rather than assume one export fits all accounts.
When in doubt, choose the simplest format that shows the fact clearly and that you can finish. Add movement or generation when it explains something the existing text and visual cannot.
